Teachers' Lounge Makeover Project by Midtown Church

Since we began, Midtown has been committed to serving the Alder Grove community and Leataata Floyd Elementary School. We do this with many partners, including Mercy Housing. Our commitment to this community and school is to invest into changing impact of the families, teachers and students by seeing education equity gaps closed and opportunities increase. As a Title-1 School, Leataata Floyd Elementary School needs our support this year with 2 specific needs: a Teachers Lounge Makeover to bless the teachers, and Christmas presents for each child.

LFE Teachers need a lounge makeover: a place to rest and work. Currently they’re using an empty classroom. We know these hard-working, passionate educators need a space that blesses them. Midtown is taking on the project!

Your donation goes towards the cost of a new refrigerator ($300), TV ($300), microwave ($100), furniture ($1000) and more.

Q’s about the project or specific donation inquiry? Please email here.

Sponsor a kid to shop for a toy, while he/she learns about the spirit of giving

“The Gift of Giving” with The Table Community Foundation is an incredible opportunity for kids in their program.  Purchase a $50 or $100 Target gift card to shop for others and then for themselves.

Kids submit a letter about what “giving” means to them. 100 kids are selected and given the chance to shop for a toy at Target with a shopping volunteer.

If you’d like to be a shopping volunteer on December 10, please visit our SERVE opportunities below.

Gift and Meal Distribution at Leataata Floyd Elementary School

Dates and sign ups coming soon!

Midtown Church serves our city each week by providing and caring for our unhoused and displaced residents.

2020-2021: 150k+ meals served, 65k+ showers provided.

We encourage you to partner with us as we provide showers, food and clothing in the community on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and the last 2 Sundays of the month.

All of this is only accomplished with the help of our church family. Serve with us in an ongoing rotation, bring along your friends and small groups, together we have a large impact.

Provide Lunch Bags

Putting together lunches supports our ministry as a tangible and practical way for you, your family, small group and friends to serve together. We provide 300 lunches daily. When you sign up to bring 25 lunches you bless this ministry by being a part of the count. This helps us plan, prepare and work together as a church. Sign up for a day you’re able to provide.

Check out this video to learn more about the displaced community ministry.
