“Seeing is Believing”
Dr. Efrem Smith
Biblical Foundation:
- The Book of Jeremiah (Prophet and Priest)- God’s Judgement, God’s Restoration Based on Repentance, and God’s Vision Statement for His People
- Jeremiah as the Weeping (Emotional) Prophet. He’s sharing God’s Vision Statement.
- God is bringing judgment for the sins of Judah, but there’s also a vision of restoration and the renewing of the Covenant.
- A Vision Statement in the Book- Jeremiah 29:4-7 and 11-14
Big Question:
If You Saw Life The Way God Sees It, What Would Change?
1. Will You Accept God’s Vision Statement?
God’s Vision for Our Identity- Relationship and Intimacy Over Return on Investment
Jeremiah 1:1-5
2. Will You Admit Your Vision Limitations?
Sometimes I Can’t See What God See In Me. What God Has For Me.
Jeremiah 1:6-10
3. Will You Align With God’s Vision for the World?
The other prophets among Jeremiah refused to see the situation thru God’s eyes.
Jeremiah 1:11-16, Jeremiah 29:4-7 and 11-14
Final Thought: Will You Visit the Eye Doctor?
