Midtown Church serves our city each week by providing and caring for our unhoused and displaced residents.
Serve with us in an ongoing rotation, bring along your friends and small groups, together we have a large impact.
150k+ meals served, 65k+ showers provided.
Here are 2 ways you can get involved in the mission:
Provide Lunch Bags
We need 150-200 brown bag lunches on Wednesdays.
You may donate lunches to ensure we are resourced with adequate food to serve our unhoused neighbors. Putting together lunches supports our ministry in a tangible and practical way for you, your family, or small group and friends to serve together.
Donate blankets, quarters for laundry, or laundry detergent
Be Encouraged, Inc. is meeting the unhoused community where they are in American River Encampments, and are partnering to support their efforts.
The Angel Initiative was created to pay forward blessings in the encampments. They choose five people each week and we do their laundry. They also distribute up to 300 brown bag lunches, homemade treats, hygiene kits, warm clothes, and blankets.
As a result of your generosity, they were also able to purchase and distribute winter kits, sleeping bags, blankets, coats, and tarps.
You can be involved by:
- Donating new or gently used blankets
- Donating laundry detergent
- Donating quarters for laundry machines
