“The Time is Now: Rise and Build ”

Terrence Williams

Biblical Background:

  • God positioned Nehemiah in influence for a purpose.

  • The people of Jerusalem were discouraged and defenseless.

  • When Nehemiah heard, he didn’t criticize — he cried out to God.

  • What began as a burden turned into a mission to rebuild.

Main Text: Nehemiah 2:1-5 (NIV)

Other Text(s)- Nehemiah 1:3-9, Nehemiah 2:6-20

Big Questions of The Series:

  • Will You Accept God’s Mission for Your Life?
  • Will You Join God’s Mission for the City?

Decisions To Help You Find Your Mission:

 1. The Decision to Be God-Centered (Nehemiah 1:3-9)

  • A God centered life always begins with repentance, responsibility, and restoration.

2. The Decision to Be Faith-focused (Nehemiah 2:1-5 and 2:17-20)

  • Faith doesn’t ignore fear. Faith decides that fear won’t have the final say.

3. The Decision to Be Servant-Hearted  (Nehemiah 2:20)

  • Servant-hearted people don’t need to control outcomes.

Final Thought: The Decision to Be Future-Oriented (Nehemiah 6:15-16)

  • Being future-oriented means living with the end in mind, believing that what God starts, He intends to finish.
