GOD IS ELOHIM – The God With No Equal

Big Idea:
Elohim is The One True God Who Speaks into Chaos, Defines Our Identity, and Pursues His People.
Biblical Background
- Genesis is the first book of the Bible. Moses is writing to people who had just been rescued from slavery in Egypt. They were learning who God truly is after living in a culture filled with many false gods.
- Moses makes one thing clear: the God who rescued Israel is not one god among many. He is Elohim — the One True God.
- Creation is proof of His unmatched power. Genesis 1 doesn’t just tell us that God created everything. It reminds us that everything else is creation, and only God is Creator.
1. Elohim Speaks Into Chaos
- Genesis 1:1-3
- Sometimes what feels like chaos is actually preparation.
- Elohim isn’t competing with chaos. He rules over it.
2. Elohim Defines Our Identity
- Genesis 1:26-27
- Humanity wasn’t created to be God. Humanity was created to reflect God.
- Purpose begins with knowing Whose You Are before discovering what you’re called to do.
3. Elohim Pursues His People
- John 1:1-5

Do you need Him to speak into chaos?
Do you need Him to remind you who you are?
Or do you need to stop running and let Him pursue your heart?
