EL SHADDAI: The God Who Fights For Me

Pastor Christa Armstead

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Exodus 14:14 (NIV)

1. The Physical Fight

  • El Shaddai fights the battles we can see.
  • Exodus 1:8–14, Exodus 3:7–8, Exodus 6:1, Psalm 91:1–4
  • Sometimes opposition comes because God’s hand is on your life—not because you’ve done something wrong.
  • El Shaddai doesn’t simply observe our suffering—He acts.

2. The Mental Fight

  • El Shaddai fights the battles within us.
  • Isaiah 26:3, Jeremiah 29:12–14. Acts 16:22–31
  • The enemy wages psychological warfare through fear, lies, shame, anxiety, and condemnation.
  • Your praise can bring freedom—not only to you, but to those around you.

3. The Spiritual Fight

  • El Shaddai has already won the greatest battle.
  • Acts 16:26–34
  • The enemy’s greatest target is not your body or your mind—it’s your soul.

Closing Challenge:

You may have spent your life fighting:
• Rejection
• Fear
• Disappointment
• Addiction
• To belong
• To be loved

But today, you don’t have to fight alone.

El Shaddai fights for you.
