1. Always Rejoice!

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.

– Philippians 4:4-5

 

You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

– Psalm 16:11

 

2. Always Pray 

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

– Philippians 4:6-7

 

Shalom (Hebrew, Old Testament):

Shalom means wholeness, completeness, soundness, well-being — everything in right relationship and functioning as it should.

 

Eirēnē (Greek, New Testament):

In classical Greek eirēnē meant mainly the absence of war, but the New Testament writers pour the full weight of shalom back into it.

 

3. Always Course-Correct

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

– Philippians 4:8-9

 

Closing Thought: Always Be Aware

God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

– Psalm 46:1-2
