1. AN UNLIKELY HERO OF FAITH

Hebrews 11:31, Ephesians 1

  • God chooses unlikely people.
  • Faith qualifies the unqualified.
  • Rahab is one of the most unexpected heroes in the “Hall of Faith.”
  • God isn’t looking for people with a perfect past; He’s looking for people with an active faith.

2. FAITH IN ACTION

Joshua 2:8–11, Proverbs 9:10

  • Worship and reverence begin when our hearts receive a revelation of who God is.
  • Rahab believed based on what she had heard about God.
  • Seeing isn’t always believing.
  • Rahab demonstrated an unlikely and risky reverence for God.
  • By every human measure, Rahab was the wrong person—but God chose her anyway.
  • The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

3. A FAITH THAT’S RISKY

Hebrews 11:6

  • Belief produces action.
  • Rahab risked her safety → she hid enemy spies.
  • Rahab risked her community → she chose Israel over Jericho.
  • Rahab risked her old identity → she walked away from who she had been.
  • Rahab risked her security → she traded what was familiar for an uncertain future.
  • Rahab risked her comfort → faith required action, not just belief.
