Consider This When Trying to Discover Your Purpose:
- What regularly frustrates you that doesn’t frustrate others as much?
- What comes very naturally to you that usually doesn’t for others?
Most of us are in one of three places:
- You have a job, but still haven’t discovered your specific purpose.
- You know your purpose, but you’re afraid to leave what’s comfortable.
- You know your purpose, but you’re waiting on God’s timing to GO!
The BIG Idea:
Will you accept God’s purpose for your life?
Point #1: God Gives Us a Burden (Nehemiah 2:1-5)
Don’t pray & hope, pray & plan.
Point #2: God Gives Us a Vision (Nehemiah 2:6-16)
A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.
Proverbs 21:1 In the LORD’S hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that He channels toward all who please Him.
Point #3: God Gives Us Endurance (Nehemiah 2:17-20)
Closing Thought: Don’t Bother Re-Building if God’s Not the Architect
