- Matthew starts with genealogy.
- John starts with divinity.
- Mark introduces us to someone whose role was simply to say: “Don’t look at me. Look over there. Someone greater is coming.” His name was John the Baptist.
THE BIG QUESTION: Is my life pointing to JESUS, or just pointing at PEOPLE?
1. A Christ-following life points to the way of God.
Mark 1:1-3, Isaiah 40:1-3
A Christ-following life doesn’t just talk about God’s way.
• It clears the way.
• It doesn’t just believe the King is coming.
• It lives like the King is here.
• What in you, is still in the way of Him?
• What has God been touching… that you keep rearranging instead of removing?
• What obedience has He been naming that you keep postponing?

Final Thought: Our are lives are pointing to who Christ really is.
